Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 8, 2026

The Discipled Home is operated by Arrows & Olive Branch ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when parents, guardians, and authorized caregivers use The Discipled Home.

1. Who the service is for

The Discipled Home is a parent-facing Christian formation resource. Children do not create accounts, communicate with other users, or maintain public profiles. An account holder may add limited information about a child only when the account holder is the child's parent, legal guardian, or an authorized caregiver permitted to do so.

2. Information we collect

We may collect:

  • Account information: name, email address, authentication information handled by our authentication provider, and account role.
  • Parent profile information: first name, email, country, and communication preferences.
  • Limited child profile information: a first name or nickname, grade or level, country, and school year. We do not ask for a child's birth date, school name, address, or contact information.
  • Guide activity: selected guide context and optional completion or progress records.
  • Support information: name, email, support category, subject, message, and an optional screenshot.
  • Optional diagnostic context: with your express confirmation, the current page, relevant guide context, and general browser or device information. This does not include passwords or activity outside The Discipled Home.
  • Local device preferences: browser storage may remember whether you dismissed onboarding or audio introductions.

Our hosting and authentication providers may also process technical information necessary to operate and secure the service, such as session information, IP address, device information, and server logs. We do not currently use advertising trackers or sell personal information.

3. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • create and secure accounts;
  • personalize guides by country, grade or level, month, and week;
  • save optional guide progress;
  • deliver requested emails and manage communication preferences;
  • respond to support, accessibility, curriculum, theological, account, and technical questions;
  • diagnose errors when diagnostic information is supplied with consent;
  • maintain, protect, and improve the service;
  • comply with legal obligations and address misuse or security concerns.

We will not use personal information for a materially different purpose without providing appropriate notice and obtaining consent where required.

4. Consent and choices

We seek meaningful consent appropriate to the sensitivity of the information and the way it is used. Optional diagnostic context and support attachments are not required to use the guides. Email preferences can be changed in the parent profile. Consent may be withdrawn, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice, although some information is necessary to maintain an account and provide the service.

5. Children and younger account holders

The service is not intended for children under 13 to create or operate accounts. A user who is under the age of majority where they live may use the service with the permission and involvement of their parent or legal guardian, or where otherwise legally permitted. This rule supports valid consent and account responsibility; it does not mean the Christian or educational content is unsuitable for minors.

An account holder must have authority to provide any child profile information they enter. Please use a child's first name or nickname only and do not include unnecessary sensitive information in profiles or support messages.

6. When we share information

We may disclose information:

  • to service providers that host, authenticate, store, secure, and deliver the service, including Base44, a Wix company;
  • to Google when a user chooses Google sign-in, subject to Google's own privacy practices;
  • to email and file-delivery services used to send requested communications or store authorized uploads;
  • when required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, and service security;
  • in connection with a reorganization, merger, or transfer, subject to appropriate safeguards and notice where required.

We do not sell personal information, use it for targeted advertising, or permit children to be contacted through the service.

7. Processing outside Canada

Some service providers may process or store information outside Canada. Information processed in another jurisdiction may be accessible to courts, law-enforcement authorities, or regulators under that jurisdiction's laws. We use service providers and safeguards appropriate to the services they perform.

8. Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing an active account, maintaining requested progress, responding to support matters, meeting legal obligations, resolving disputes, and protecting the service. When information is no longer required, we will delete, anonymize, or securely dispose of it, subject to backup and legal-retention requirements.

Support screenshots and diagnostic information should be retained only as long as needed to resolve and document the request. Browser-local preferences remain on a device until cleared through the app, browser settings, or device storage controls.

9. Safeguards

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Account holders are responsible for protecting their login credentials and should contact us if they suspect unauthorized access.

10. Access, correction, and deletion

You may review and correct available parent and child profile information in the app. You may delete child profiles through the available account controls. To request access to other personal information, correct it, withdraw consent, request an export, or request account deletion, contact The Discipled Home Support using the address below.

We may need to verify identity before completing a request. We will respond within the time required by applicable law and explain any lawful limitation. Deleting an account may not immediately remove information from backups, legal records, or records that must be retained for security or dispute resolution.

11. Cookies and local storage

The app may use authentication technologies and browser-local storage necessary to sign users in, protect sessions, and remember interface preferences. We do not currently use non-essential advertising cookies. If we introduce non-essential analytics or tracking, we will update this policy and provide any consent controls required by law.

12. External services and links

The service may link to third-party resources or use third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We encourage users to review those policies.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service develops. We will post the revised effective date and provide additional notice when a change is material or when consent is required.
