Terms of Use

These Terms govern access to The Discipled Home, operated by Arrows & Olive Branch ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy.

1. Eligibility and account responsibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the service with the permission and involvement of your parent or legal guardian, or where otherwise legally permitted.

Accounts are intended for parents, legal guardians, and authorized caregivers. By adding a child profile, you confirm that you have authority to provide and use that child's information for this purpose. You are responsible for accurate account information, protecting your credentials, and activity under your account.

2. What The Discipled Home provides

The Discipled Home provides Christian formation resources that help families connect everyday learning with biblical discipleship. Resources may include weekly guides, curriculum context, Scripture, prayers, conversation prompts, activities, audio, and parent guidance for Preschool through Grade 8.

The service is for parent and caregiver use. It is not a school, childcare provider, tutoring service, or child-directed social platform.

3. Curriculum and pacing disclaimer

Guide content provides suggested curriculum context and parent guidance. It does not claim that every school, teacher, province, board, or classroom teaches the same topic in the same week. Families should ask what a child actually encountered and adapt the material appropriately.

The guides are supplemental and do not replace official curriculum documents, professional educational assessment, school communication, or a family's responsibility to make educational decisions.

4. Christian perspective

The Discipled Home is intentionally written from a Christian worldview and may present biblical convictions concerning God, creation, truth, identity, family, the body, relationships, character, and moral formation. Users may encounter perspectives with which they disagree. Respectful disagreement does not permit harassment, abuse, or misuse of the service.

5. Not professional advice

The service does not provide medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or individualized professional advice. Guidance concerning safety, development, accessibility, learning, or family circumstances is general. Seek an appropriate qualified professional where a child's or family's needs require one.

6. Free Beta Access

The service is currently offered as Free Beta Access. No purchase is required for the current beta. Beta features may be incomplete, changed, interrupted, or removed as the service develops.

We may introduce paid features or plans in the future, but we will provide clear notice and obtain any required agreement before charging you. Free beta access does not create a right to permanent free access or continued availability of every feature.

7. Acceptable use

You must not:

• access another person's account or personal information without permission;
• provide child information when you lack authority to do so;
• upload unlawful, harmful, infringing, or unnecessarily sensitive content;
• attempt to bypass permissions, security, rate limits, or administrative controls;
• copy, scrape, resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the service or guide library except with written permission;
• interfere with the service or use it to harm, threaten, or harass another person.

8. Content and intellectual property

The service, design, branding, guides, audio, and original materials are owned by or licensed to Arrows & Olive Branch and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. We grant account holders a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the service and download or display materials only for their own household's non-commercial use.

Scripture translations, official curriculum materials, links, and third-party resources remain subject to their respective owners' rights and terms.

9. Information and files you submit

You retain ownership of material you submit through support or account features. You grant us a limited permission to host, copy, review, and use that material only as reasonably necessary to provide the requested service, respond to the request, maintain security, or comply with law. Do not upload material you do not have permission to share.

10. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled. Do not enter unnecessary sensitive information about a child or another person in profiles, support messages, or attachments.

11. Availability and changes

We may maintain, update, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service. We aim to provide reliable access but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. During beta, errors and temporary limitations may occur.

12. Suspension and termination

We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address a breach of these Terms, unlawful use, security risk, harm to another person, or discontinuation of the service. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.

You may stop using the service at any time and may request account deletion through The Discipled Home Support. Certain information may be retained where required for legal, security, backup, or dispute-resolution purposes.

13. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided on an "as available" basis without warranties that cannot reasonably be given for a beta service. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, guarantees, or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Arrows & Olive Branch will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from use of or inability to use the service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability arising from fraud, wilful misconduct, or other non-waivable obligations.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without limiting any mandatory consumer rights that apply where you live.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the service develops. We will post the revised effective date and provide additional notice for material changes. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law; where new consent is required, we will request it.
